Come Snow

Author: Lars Holger Holm

“Why insist on a conscience of your own
when all you need is to do as they say?
Why risk your entire life and tranquillity for a moment of meaningless
heroism?
Why not be reasonable, compromise, a little, and just get on with your
life?”

Thoroughly researched and documented, emulating the peculiar style and
manners of the epoch, Lars Holger Holm’s latest novel Come Snow
simultaneously reads as a compelling detective story and an ennerving
hermetic drama. Though not necessarily based on an authentic case, it
remains in a superlative sense a true story: A moral problem assumes
gigantic proportions. The Trial leads to the centre of the labyrinth – how
can one up-date Nazism without changing it in essence? The answer is
surprising and blood chilling; the Crime in the Heart of Darkness so
unspeakable that there is as yet no Punishment imagined.
